Things to note for Indians in USA

- When you are in "line" call it line (where is the line?, are you in line?) and not queue

- When you want to go upstairs, look for "elevator" and not lift

- Washroom/restroom are toilets/loo

- The storage in car is "trunk" here and not "dicky"

- When you want to erase what you wrote using a pencil, call it "eraser" and not "rubber". Sometimes they call condom a rubber ;-)

- You usually don't "shift" from one neighborhood (yes, not area) to another, you "move"

- Filling a form, you "check" the check-boxes and not "tick"

- giving a check for 34.23 dollars, you write "thirty four 23/100" instead of "thirty four dollars twenty three cents"

- "Flight Attendant" is better to use instead of "Air Hostess"

- Men have "wallets", women have "purses"
